Have you attended a session where the facilitator says it will be interactive, only to find out that the Q&A section is the "interaction?" Putting questions in the chat is a good start but should not count as engagement! We want participants to be active learners in our workshops; we must provide opportunities to practice the new skill introduced, demonstrate a new concept for themselves or interpret new information in their own way. Our role should be a facilitator - facilitating knowledge. In this session, we will discuss and brainstorm ways to "engage-ify" training, either online or off. And by "discuss," we don't mean endless slides and a presenter talking for 45 minutes.
