Our session will outline our MOVE Texas disaster response 'wellness check' campaign that was launched during the winter storm and Texas power outage a few weeks ago. We'll cover our personal stories, our organizational response, and the organizing that took place after to demand accountability. Our hope is to provide attendees an outline of elements to incorporate into disaster response toolkits and a case study to draw inspiration from as weather patterns become more violent due to climate inaction. The panel will be from the perspective of field organizers, advocacy organizers, and the broader community that made our outreach possible.
