Writing postcards to voters has emerged as one of the most popular volunteer grassroots activities over the past 4 years. But do they work? In this session you will hear how postcards not only boost voter turnout (especially in tight races and elections with low turnout) but also build community and energize volunteers for ongoing civic engagement. We will share how since 2017 Postcards4VA has help postcard groups throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia write for local, state, and federal candidates. It’s all about building community one postcard party (in person or virtual) at a time.
