The Campaign Workers Guild was formed in 2017. Since then, we’ve grown to have 500+ dues paying members and led the effort to bring campaign unionization to the forefront of the 2020 election cycle.

In this session, we’ll give attendees the basic tools and knowledge to organize their own workplaces, particularly campaigns and political organizations. We’ll share our own reasons for starting CWG and our experience since then, dig deep on our theory of building authentic campaign worker power, and share how attendees can be part of our movement for structural change in our industry.

Our target audience of former, current, and aspiring campaign and political workers will walk away from this session knowing the practical steps of unionization, the nuances of unionizing in campaign and political spaces, and what it takes to win.
